Multicolour Red granite

Description of colouring and granulometry:
magmatised biotitegneiss made up of fine-grained pink gneiss, coarse-grained red
granite with whitish streaks and small masses of red garnet. It is quarried in the Estrada de Joao Amaro s/n Fazenda Genipapo in
lacu in the state of Bahia.

Other commercial names: Paraguacu Fantasy, Multicolor Red.

Other commercial variety: Yellow Savage, Amarelo Selvagem.

Prevailing applications: interior and wall facings.

Mineralogical composition: perthitic microcline 62%, quartz 17%, plagioclase 12%, biotite 5%, garnet 3%, magnetite 1%, zircon.

Physical and mechanical properties: volumetric weight: 2641 kg/m3; absorption coefficient: 0.18%; apparent porosity: 0.43%;
compression breaking load: 198.2 MPa; compression breaking load after gelivity: 214.4 MPa; bending strength: 21.47 MPa;
coefficient of thermal expansion: 9.6 (mm/m°C)x10-3; shock resistance: 0.43 m; wear test: 0.63 mm; static deformability modulus:
41.10 GPa.
